Former church of St. Bartholomew
The fortified village of Montefollonico is a beautiful village that preserves intact the medieval flavor.
It was an outpost of Siena, fortified against Florence.
Had a remarkable development in the twelfth century thanks to the Citercense monks. Of this time the church of St. Leonard, a fine example of Cistercian Romanesque.
From the square of the church you can admire a splendid territory until the Lake Trasimeno.
Particularly interesting is the former church of St. Bartholomew, which overlooks a splendid two.tails mermaid.
